Official Proclamations

The 2008 Michigan Renaissance Festival Competition is a state level competition held in conjunction with the Michigan Renaissance Festival and the Society Of North Oakland Brewers (S.N.O.B.s). This is a Beer Judging Certification Program (BJCP) sanctioned event accepting all of the 28 categories. In addition to the standard BJCP categories we have added a category #29, which is defined as a beer which is bittered without the use of hops. This is a great category for experimental brewers and historical experts alike. So break out the orange peels and pine needles, and come up with a creative brew.

Entrees must be received by mail or delivered to the drop-off sites by Aug/15/08. Late entrees may be considered Or call Hopmans Beer and Wine Making Supply at (248) 674-4677
